About Teen Closet
The Junior League of Elizabeth-Plainfield is proud to announce our newest community project, Teen Closet. Teen Closet, a division of Career Closet, is a girls’ empowerment initiative that provides college and career readiness workshops for at-risk female high school students in Union County. |
How It Works
The Junior League of Elizabeth-Plainfield works with local high schools and organizations to provide workshops to help at-risk teen girls get ready for college and the workforce. Each workshop varies in focus – college essay writing, resume writing, interview skills, as well as professional etiquette tips. Each participant receives the Teen Closet's signature “Dress Write Starter Kit” - key articles of professional attire for college and job interviews. |
Volunteer
The Junior League of Elizabeth-Plainfield welcomes volunteers to help the Teen Closet with one-on-one college essay and resume writing workshops. Donations The Teen Closet accepts monetary donations from corporations, foundations, and individuals. All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. |
